Who controls your data

EarnADeal is the controller of personal data handled through this service. Privacy questions and rights requests can be submitted through the Contact page.

Data we collect

Account details such as name, email, verification status and password hash; profile content; listings, requests, offers, messages and reviews; payment references and transaction status (not full card details); encrypted UK bank-transfer details supplied by finders, including legal name, address, bank name, sort code and account number; support communications; device, security and usage logs; cookie choices; and evidence supplied for disputes or refunds.

Why we use it

To provide accounts and marketplace features; perform contracts and payments; protect instructions; prevent fraud and abuse; moderate content; handle support, refunds and disputes; meet legal and accounting duties; improve reliability; and, where required, act with your consent.

Legal bases

Depending on the activity, processing is necessary to perform our contract, comply with law, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, or act on consent. You can withdraw consent where it is the basis, without affecting earlier processing.

Sharing

We share only what is needed with infrastructure, email, analytics, security, banking and payment providers; professional advisers; HMRC or other authorities where reporting is legally required; and other users where a public profile, listing or review is intentionally published. Bank details are not shown to other members. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual clauses.

Retention and security

We retain data only as long as needed for the service, disputes, fraud prevention, accounting and legal obligations. Security controls include access restriction, encryption for protected deal instructions, hashing, audit records and signed payment webhooks. No system is completely risk-free.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Identity verification may be required before fulfilling a request.

Children and changes

EarnADeal is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Material policy changes will be published with a new effective date.
